The Series 1 has the great design that when something is in focus, when zooming, it stay's in focus. I think it's by far the best manual zoom lens in this range that exists mostly because the 1 grip design for focus as well as zooming. I really love my Vivitar 70-210 Series 1. And you need the right camera profile to be able to open the RAW files. Only a handfull of camera profiles are as default loaded. There are a huge number of camera profiles you can download and apply to Corel Aftershot.
You can edit an image, lets say a picture of you're grey card for the white balance and with a copy-paste menu function apply that to all the other pictures that need the same white balance. Finally a program that can batch RAW files with the use of an eyedropper tool and even is not to expensive, just € 59.99. Would it be worth dusting off the Vivitar and trying it on my K3 or K5 bodies? Do you have any advice for using older lenses?

I also noticed that you list a Vivitar 70-210 1:3.5. Are you using DNG or PEF? Why do you prefer one over the other? Another member told me that the program works well for RAW DNG files.
